Hole in the Wall tells the quiet story of Prisoner #360, a mouse who has spent their entire life in chains within the wall of a cheese kitchen, knowing nothing beyond the shadows of the outside world. Inspired by the Allegory of the Cave, the comic explores a world shaped entirely by shadows and shifting forms that play across the wall like a moving picture. To the mouse, these projections are reality itself, forming a complete and unquestioned understanding of existence built from illusion.

Curiosity eventually casts the mouse into a journey of discovery outside her hole in the wall. The story unfolds into a reflection on perception and truth, exploring the tension between comfort and awareness. Through the journey of Prisoner #360, the comic considers the courage it takes to question one’s reality and the transformative power of seeking knowledge beyond what is seen. Through a soft, imaginative narrative and a relatable character, it introduces deeper concepts in a way that feels safe, playful, and easy to understand. It is a great read for children of all ages.
